FAQ

  • What should I take off/leave on for our session?

Please remove all dangling jewelry. There will be a bowl provided to keep it safe. Regarding under garments, that is your choice as far as what you are comfortable with. Some choose to remove everything, while others choose to leave underwear on. Massage is possible over clothing; it is just a different experience compared to without. Please keep in mind that sensitive areas will always be modestly covered, and only the body part we are working on will be exposed.

  • Should I talk or be quiet during our sessions?

This is your session, and so we will allow you to take the lead on this one as well. We will not initiate conversation with you during treatment in order to focus and allow you to go inward, however we understand that some folks need to talk in order to feel comfortable in this sort of vulnerable situation.

  • How often should I schedule bodywork?

It really depends on what your goals are and what we are currently working on. We believe monthly is great for maintenance, but we can discuss timing more in depth in person.

  • What is Thai massage?

Performed on a mat on the floor with client fully clothed, Thai is a traditional practice combining acupressure, assisted stretching, and passive range of motion to enhance flexibility, mobility, circulation, and energy flow. Please wear clothes that are comfortable and easy to move in, preferably avoiding shorts unless they are tight to the body.

  • What is Ashiatsu?

Ashiatsu is a modality in which the therapist uses their feet while supported by overhead bars, to provide deep tissue work while also promoting relaxation. It's often preferred by those who enjoy deep pressure and is suitable for various body types and conditions. Some unique contraindications apply including breast implants within the past 9 months, having a pacemaker, being pregnant or the possibility of pregnancy, osteoporosis, and weighing under 100 pounds.

Reiki is a gentle, holistic healing practice that channels universal life force energy to promote relaxation, balance, and well-being. During a session, the therapist will lightly place their hands on or near your body, facilitating the flow of energy to support physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Ideal for stress reduction and overall wellness, Reiki complements traditional medical treatments and fosters a sense of peace and harmony.
